Nitrox Course

This course teaches you the knowledge and skills to safely dive using enriched air(nitrox). The theory takes about 4 hours in the classroom looking at how to plan a dive using a cylinder mix with higher oxygen percentage than air.

You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you extended dive time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. During a practical session, and two optional (or required) scuba dives, you’ll:

• Discuss managing oxygen exposure.
• Practice analysing oxygen content in your scuba tank.
• Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox.
