The RAID Normoxic Decompression course is designed for divers who have completed the Deco 50 level and are ready to push their limits further. This advanced technical diving program allows divers to explore depths up to 60 meters (200 feet) using two optimized decompression gases. Here are some key details:

Course Content

  • Optimized Staged Decompression: Learn advanced techniques for staged decompression dives, enabling safer and longer dives.
  • Advanced Equipment Configuration: Gain expertise in managing specialized equipment required for deeper dives.

Prerequisites

  • Age: Be at least 18 years old.
  • Certification: Be certified as a Deco 50 diver or equivalent.
  • Experience: Have logged 65 hours or 100 dives on open circuit.
  • Decompression Dives: Have logged 10 decompression dives.
  • Depth Experience: Have logged 20 hours between 30 and 50 meters.

Learning Format

  • Online Learning: Access course manuals, quizzes, and exams online.
  • Practical Training: Conducted by your local RAID Dive Centre and Instructor.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Learn at your own pace with online materials and practical training sessions.
  • 5 Course Dives Minimum: at least 300 mins underwater training

Equipment

  • Gas Mixtures: Use Normoxic Trimix with a minimum oxygen content of 18%.
  • Decompression Gases: Use up to 100% oxygen for optimized decompression schedules.
  • Configuration: Can be completed wearing back mount twin set cylinders or in sidemount configuration for qualified divers.
