The refresher is for all divers who have been out of the water for a while and need to brush up on both theory and skills, getting ready for open water again

The refresher course is designed for certified divers who have been inactive and want to refresh their skills before diving again. It’s a personalized and prescriptive program that focuses on the areas where your knowledge and skills may have lapsed.

The course consists of two main parts:

  1. Knowledge Refresher: This is an eLearning module that you can complete online at your own pace. It covers essential dive concepts, dive planning, safety procedures, and common dive scenarios. You can use the PADI Training App to access the content offline if you’re traveling.
  2. In-Water Skills Refresher: After completing the knowledge refresher, you can opt to practice your scuba skills in a confined water environment (like a swimming pool) with an instructor or divemaster. This session includes reviewing dive gear setup, pre-dive checks, buoyancy control, mask clearing, and emergency procedures.

Upon successful completion of both sections, you’ll receive a stamp in your log book or a PDF cert to verify you have done an update.
