The Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Course from offers an exhilarating adventure by introducing divers to underwater scooters, also known as DPVs. This course allows divers to cover more ground efficiently and experience the thrill of gliding through the water.

What You’ll Learn:

DPV Equipment Familiarization: Learn about different types of DPVs, their features, maintenance, and considerations for selection.
Handling and Manoeuvring: Develop skills to operate a DPV safely, including techniques for descents, ascents, and maintaining proper buoyancy while using the vehicle.
Dive Planning: Understand how to plan dives that incorporate DPVs, considering factors such as battery life, depth limits, and environmental conditions.
Safety Procedures: Identify potential hazards associated with DPV use and learn how to manage them effectively, including protocols for dealing with runaway DPVs and towing techniques.

Course Structure:

Knowledge Development: Complete self-study or instructor-led sessions covering theoretical aspects of DPV diving.
Open Water Dives: Participate in two open water dives under the supervision of an Instructor to practice and refine DPV handling skills.

Prerequisites:

Minimum Age: 12 years.
Certification: Open Water, Junior Open Water, or equivalent.

Upon successful completion, you’ll earn either the Dive RAID or PADI DPV certification, enhancing your underwater exploration capabilities and adding a new level of excitement to your dives.
