April Naturalist Competition
Competition Results
Nobody got the correct answer in the March creature ID competition. The closest was Katie Cavalli so we will give her the voucher for £20. Its was a Chromodoris Geometrica which is a nudibranch. That itself means ‘naked gills’ as the feathery bits on their back are their external gills. Amazing, beatiful creatures often missed by divers looking for the big stuff! Why not challenge yourself next time you dive (in the sea of course!) to find one, remember its shape and markings and pop by the shop to ID it in my encyclopedia of nudibranchs 🙂
For a chance to win a £20 voucher enter this month’s competition and tell us what you think he/she/it is.
We shall be running the Naturalist Course later this year (when it warms up a bit) which gives you a fascinating introduction to what you are actually seeing down there. It can be all to easy to come up at the end of the dive and not really remember exactly what you’ve just seen. For more information feel free to come and have a chat.
